Circulation Policies

Library patrons must present a university identification card ("I-Card") in order to borrow books/materials. Current lending policies are undergraduates students and townspeople= 30 days/2 renewals; faculty, doctoral students, masters students, staff and administrators= 90 days/2 renewals.

Fines are imposed to encourage borrowers to return materials on time in order to make them available to other users.

Overdue books are charged at the following rate: $0.25 per day per item

Books more than 30 days overdue are declared lost and replacement fees are charged at the following rate:

Lost Book Replacement Fee $75.00

Unpaid fines can result in the temporary loss of borrowing privileges.

Non-IUP individuals may purchase a library card at the I-Card Office in the Hadley Union Building (the "HUB") located on Pratt Drive. The charge for the card is $5.00. Hours may vary from one semester to another. You may call (724) 463-1204 for current hours and days.
